OUR STORY
Hi, I’m Nicole — the heart behind Rhythmic Roots Music Lessons. I’m a Queens University of Charlotte graduate (Class of 2021) with over nine years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and older adults in a variety of educational and community-based settings.
I hold a degree in music therapy, which has deeply influenced my approach to music education. While I am not a board-certified music therapist, the principles and training from my studies shape the way I work with students across a wide range of ages, abilities, and learning styles — from early childhood through adulthood.
WHY CHOOSE RHYTHMIC ROOTS
At Rhythmic Roots, I bring that whole-person perspective into music lessons that are flexible, engaging, and tailored to each individual. Some students come to music to build foundational skills, others to reconnect with creativity, confidence, or joy — and many simply want music to fit into their lives in a way that feels supportive and sustainable. Lessons can be structured or song-based, technical or exploratory, depending on what works best for the learner.
Rhythmic Roots was created from a belief that music should feel accessible, encouraging, and rooted in connection — not pressure. My goal is to create a space where students of all ages feel seen, supported, and excited to grow through music, no matter where they’re starting from.
